Review of The Ultimate Gift (2007) by Thomas A — 11 May 2009
A truly peculiar experience to watch "The ultimate gift". Clichèd. Cheesy dialogue. Totally unbelievable at certain points. Dripping with sentimentality. But deeply moving at times. Breslin plays a sick girl with a language, "maturity" and way of conversation that is WAY TOO advanced for a girl at that age... which adds to the artifial feeling of the movie.
But there is nothing wrong with the the very obvious point the movie is making: Money doesn`t make you happy. But as said. Totally overdone at times, but drives the point home with tears...
