Review of The Two Mrs. Carrolls (1947) by Allan C — 15 Feb 2014
Rather silly thriller about crazed artist Humphrey Bogart who paints his wives as Angels of Death and then murders them. Barbara Stanwyck plays his latest wife who then goes through all sorts of Rebecca-like fear and emotional turmoil about her new husband's intentions.
Barbara is good, but Bogie seems miscast, though it's these two stars that make the film watchable and entertaining enough to be worth watching.
