Review of The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) by Angela O — 21 Aug 2013
First of all, this movie was SO much better than the first! Though it would've been hard to do much worse. The directing, cinematography, special effects, acting, story - everything was better. Of course Kristen Stewart still can't act and always looks like she's a step away from committing suicide, but besides her, the others do well.
Robert Pattinson does not look like he's in physical pain everytime he utters a word in this movie, unlike in Twilight. Even Bella's friends and dad had their acting skills bumped up a notch. Bella's friend Jessica has some really funny lines in this movie too.
All the teenagers love Taylor Lautner and love this movie because he's shirtless, but he is actually a pretty good actor, which was what surprised me. This movie stuck pretty close to the book and flowed well, unlike the first which was very disjointed and hard to follow.
Since I am now thoroughly addicted to the books (and the books are still far superior to the movies) I think I may even go with my daughter to see this one again.
