Review of The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) by Marianita C — 21 Feb 2014
Oh Bella, you did it again. Twilight: New Moon (I'm not calling it The Twilight Saga: New Moon because it's pretentious and unwarranted) is the follow-up to the highly successful first film about a girl named Bella falling in love with a vampire named Edward, but also having a thing for a *spoilers* werewolf named Jacob.
This movie is a bit of a stinker. It looks good some of the time, but the story is complete crap and the acting is really quite awful. The first film was merely watchable, but its sequel is so bad it's unbelievable.
It doesn't even really begin or end. It just starts and then suddenly, it's over. If this series can't do any better than this (and I don't think it can), then the only thing keeping it going is the fandom behind it and a movie studio looking to profit from it.
That's not unlike certain other film franchises, but this one feels toothless and immature.
