Review of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010) by Stipina S — 26 Jun 2012
Doesn't he own a shirt?
A series of strange killings seem to be plaguing Seattle and the results of the killings may lead to a war in Bella's home town. A rival vampire wants Bella dead and her love of Jacob and Edward seems to be diverting her attention from the real threat. Who will Bella choose and will she choose in time to allow a plan to form in hopes of stopping the army from destroying her entire town?
"You invited me.".
"Was my right hook that unsubtle? That was me uninviting you.".
David Slade, director of Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night, delivers Twilight: Eclipse. The storyline for this picture is okay and fairly predictable. The battle sequences are pretty good but the vampire facial expressions remain painful to watch. The werewolves are well presented \and the acting is slightly better than the previous films. The cast includes Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lauten, and Billy Burke.
"It would be as easy as breathing.".
As previously referenced, I recently watched all four Twilight films and while this is slightly better than New Moon, and I do enjoy watching David Slade pictures, I still found this to be just an above average picture. The acting is getting better and you can see Stewart and Pattinson developing as actors and the characters being more natural than the previous two films. I do recommend seeing this film but this isn't as good as Twilight or Breaking Dawn Part 1.
"So it's not just me.".
Grade: C+/B- (6.25).
