Review of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010) by Courtney J — 12 Jul 2012
An improvement over its two lack luster prequels. Yes,it still deals in melodrama and features crappy lead performances from Stewart and Pattinson, but I was able to forgive that,if only in small doses.
This film makes the smart move of focusing a little less on a sappy love story and more on suspense, action and other characters who are more interesting. Yes,Jacob and Edward still squabble and have "measuring" contests and it has a weak love story.
But it also has werewolves killing vampires, that's freaking cool!! I guess the guy in me just loved seeing giant wolves fight pale skinned teenagers enough to give this movie a minor recommendation, but only minor one.
It is still a twilight movie after all.
