One day after I saw Eclipse and I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I thought of this newest Twilight installment. Of course, as with all the movies, it doesn't even compare to the book, but that's to be expected when a 650 page book is being condensed to a 2 hour movie.

I thought they did a good job at keeping fairly true to the book, even though some parts were moved around and obviously some completely left out. The parts of the book that were most important to the story were represented well in the movie.

I think my biggest problem with this movie was the way it was filmed. The entire movie is shot close up and you feel as though you are sitting on the actor's faces. I watched Taylor Lautner's nostrils flare enough to last me a lifetime.

They also used the shaky camera effect as if someone was just carrying a camcorder while they're shooting the movie. This is very annoying especially when the characters are just having a calm conversation.

Why would the camera shake? It gave me a headache! The acting was an improvement over the last 2 movies. Though I've finally figured out that it's only when Kristen and Rob have scenes together, that their acting is abysmal.

Its as if they have no chemisty with each other, which is surprising considering all the rumors of them being an off-screen couple. It's almost painful to watch their more intimate scenes. When Kristen and any other cast member have a scene, she's not as jittery, mopey and nervous.

The same is true with Rob-when he and Taylor have a vampire-to-wolf talk in the tent, it was a completely different Edward, sans the uneasy smirks and stiffness. This movie was darker and on the scarier side also, which is not shocking given who directed the movie.

I don't think enough attention was given to the special effects in Eclipse. Even the wolves didn't seem as real this time around. I personally would've been happy with Chris Weitz directing the rest of the series.

I thought he did a great job with New Moon. All-in-all I think Eclipse was pretty good and I definitely plan to see it one more time at the theater (this time sitting farther back). The only question that remains is - how will we all survive another year and a half until Breaking Dawn comes out?
