Review of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012) by Andrea G — 23 Jun 2013
The Twilight series has an odd, paradoxical thing going on where in the more money it makes the lower its production values get. Every single background in this film looks as though it's been green screened in (even the ones shot inside the Cullen house) and the CGI ranges from cartoon-ish in a ridiculous kind of way (were wolves) to cartoon-ish in a nightmare inducing kind of way (the half-breed demon baby.) It's as though everyone involved with the production had collectively stopped caring.
The one silver lining is that Michel Sheen's brand of apathy just happens to be hilarious.
It really says something that, from a film making stand point, the first film was the strongest.
P.s. Warning, once Bella becomes a vampire, her Mary-Sue levels are cranked up to 11 and the knob is ripped off.
