Review of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011) by Nate J — 24 Nov 2012
I read the books a long while ago, and I always wondered how they would adapt Breaking Dawn when it came to it. The first three films are shockingly bad, and hell there's plenty wrong with this one that I won't go into.
But I give it's dues, it kept to the story without deviating. Had a cutoff at a place which was to be expected. It even kept the gore in. I was quite surprised they put in footage of Edward as an early vamp, the teeth marks on the neck were shit, but the feeling the shot was interesting.
There is some awful CGI, and the story stills leaves a lot to be desired, but giving credit where it's due, this far surpasses the previous three outings and is actually watchable.
