Review of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011) by Kathleen R — 23 Mar 2013
The first movie was DISAPPOINTING.
The second was RIDICULOUS.
The third was FORGETFUL.
This one was LAME.
The cut, UNNECESSARY.
I get the cut Warner Bros did for Harry Potter, sure, there might be the thing with money, the whole potternatic mania, the 10-year mark from the first movie, but had you read the book, you'll know how necessary that was, (since when they did try to make cuts from the story (HP5) they received their worst rated HP film ever.
With breaking dawn I can only two reason for the cut, One was money, two was Harry Potter... get the sitch??
Judging this as a movie and not as part of the Twilight series or as a rival to HArry Potter... It was just totally lame... The wedding was a boring nuptial video from a paid but lame videographer, the conflict between the wolves was cluttered.I didn't get a single word from that scene where the pack was suppose to be talking through their minds. I sounds like seven malfunctioning Transformers arguing as to where did Megan Fox go. It was bloodless. The scripts are way beyond predictable that I think the worst of Jennifer Aniston's films are even much better than this,(at least with Jen, she delivers well, it's just the movies that doesn't work). The scenes were more like zoom in+ zoom out+ pan sort of sequence. Where they trying to channel David Yates silent magics on the last two HP movies? WITH THE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS THEY'VE EARNED, HOW CAN THEY NOT AFFORD TO PAY QUALITY/SEASON SCREENPLAY WRITERS, SEASON DIRECTOR, MAJOR EDITING COMPANY AND ACTING WORKSHOP FOR THEIR ACTORS!!!!
