Review of The TV Set (2007) by Cory T — 11 Oct 2007
Having categorized this film as a comedy, seems like an oversimplified excuse to parody the fact that it's a film satire of a TV show. The movie is not funny... really at all. But, forgiving that marketing quivel, the movie works in blankley observing what I can only imagine is what really happens in the marketing/production world that is modern TV.
It is sad to see these people go about their days, spending all this time, investing all this energy, into something they don't REALLY care about. That, I believe, is the difference between film and television.
Films are made, occasionally, with a passion and heart... TV just seems to be a portal for profit. Granted, there are some films (those which we call 'movies') that exist for the same purposes, but at least there's some form of creative release in film!
