Review of The TV Set (2007) by Codie E — 30 Nov 2007
An intelligent and funny criticism of the methods of Television Show making. The script is good and the cast is equal to it, with the trio of leads shining in their roles. Duchovny is quietly pained, Gruffudd is subtle and charming and Weaver has a ball with her character that is theatrical but still realistic.
I feel harsh giving the film 3 stars but it doesn't feel very cinematic, which I don't know is intentional, and the show within the film could have been better to show certain aspects that the film is trying to explore.
