Review of The TV Set (2007) by Erno K — 23 Dec 2007
This was a great little indie flick about making a pilot for a TV network. Duchovny rocks the house in my opinion, as a disillusioned writer, who has written an incredible script but is constantly under pressure to change his vision to more mainstream.
I dunno, there was something I enjoyed in this movie, and the driving force is once again the dialogue. Even if this is a comedy, it just seems so real, and I am sure lots of that kind of crap goes on behind the scenes.
Executives with money do not like risks. It is a great depiction of our times that the network's leading show is called 'Slut Wars'.
