Review of The TV Set (2007) by Matt K — 11 Apr 2008
A funny, painfully accurate look at the way the a new series comes to television. Was actually impressed with Duchovny for the first time ever really. You really ache for him as Lenny (Sigourny Weaver) slowly pecks away at his original concept in the most deceptive ways possible.
I also thought Fran Kranz as Zach Harper was absolutely great as an actor unable to control the tone of his acting. A nice little film about venting against the irrationality and revenue-centeredness of the television studio system.
