Review of The TV Set (2007) by Ryan E — 07 May 2008
Hilarious in a very dark, and ironic way. Anyone who has ever worked in any form of production where their original and personal vision is perverted and distorted beyond recognition by those you work for will find bitter, real, and slightly depressing laughs here.
An excellent warning to all writers that once you sell your idea it's completely out of your hands. Those in charge would like to give off the illusion that they respect you ideas, creativity and concept, but it's just another time slot that must compete with other entertainments aimed at the lowest common denominator.
Excellent performances all around in a cautionary comedy about the downs and downs of production.
