A smart, truthful and unusually literate romantic comedy with a great soundtrack (best use of Ben Folds in a scene ever!), uniformly excellent performances and a view of Los Angeles which makes it look almost lovely.
If Michael Lehmann can direct a romantic comedy this fine, what's his excuse for the total dog's breakfast which is "Because I Said So"?
