Review of The Truth About Cats & Dogs (1996) by Karla T — 03 Sep 2007
I identified so closely with the Janeane Garofalo character in this movie that - on washing my hands following a post-film loo visit - I looked in the mirror and was surprised to see myself rather than her.
My only complaint is that the final kiss was probably filmed first because it lacks the chemistry visible elsewhere in the film. People get hung up on the fact that Garofalo IS attractive - but that's the whole point of the film, her character doesn't THINK she's attractive! It's also great that the friendship between the two women is as important, if not more so, than the relationship with Chaplin.
