Review of The Truman Show (1998) by Teddy V — 09 May 2012
Once upon a time it looked as if Jim Carrey were ripe to make the leap from comedy to dramatic actor. His work in this film signaled the beginning of this shift, a shift which led to brilliant performances in Man on the Moon and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Unfortunately it seems rather clear that he gave up at some point after that. That's a shame, but this film is no less fantastic. Watch with extreme pleasure.
