Review of The Truman Show (1998) by Kyle R — 18 Jan 2013
Classic Jim Carry, nothing really special or surprising here. The film is somewhat enjoyable, but it limits itself and its interaction with its audience. It relies on the emotional push created by the inhuman like situation Jim is put in.
Because the film is so straight forward, it becomes very one dimensional. Still it had a clever idea and had some decent writing and scripting. This is a great movie if you like Jim Carrey and don't want to do much thinking.
