Review of The Truman Show (1998) by Kenny N — 29 Jul 2015
A masterpiece and a triumph. An ode to the human spirit, and how you simply can't contain it in a dome or box or package of any size. So many great scenes (the crew member "touching" Truman on the big screen while Truman sleeps, Truman's "best friend" telling Truman how much he cares.
..as the lines are being fed to him by the show's God-like director Christoph), and, finally, the climactic scene at the edge of the world, set to one of Philip Glass's greatest compositions, "Father Kolbe's Preaching.
" Funny, moving, uplifting, philosophical, this movie will make you think and feel incredible things, some of which you might never have thought of or felt before. Bravo!
