Review of The Truman Show (1998) by Carson T — 17 Oct 2015
The Truman Show has a little mix of everything to appeal to anybody, some comedy, drama, adventure, deep thinking. The Truman Show was a revolutionary movie that deeply criticized the media in a creative way that could be enjoyed by almost anybody.
And this movie worked so much, this movie kept its focus where it should of been and stayed with its lesson throughout the movie, but did so casually without dedicating special time in the movie just to teach the lesson, the movie was the lesson and it worked so well.
My only complaint with this movie was the pacing. This movie tried to fit so much content into such little time that the actual plot felt rushed and failed to feel natural. The plot moves so fast that the changes in the characters are passed by so quickly that the audience cannot sit back and think about how these characters changed. But overall this is more nit picking and the way the characters actually change are enjoyable and does help the story.
Overall The Truman Show is a absolute classic movie with a great meaning and plot but could be flushed out just a bit more.
