This is a remarkable film that is well acted and beautifully written with a satisfying ending. We are taken out of the world we know and sucked into Truman's world. One could easily say that the our world is more authentic than Truman's world, but why? Truman's whole life has been lived here, it is as true as how we think of our world.
It is only when Truman finally learns the falseness of his world that he makes it his life's mission to leave. How do we know that our world is not being directed right now? We don't, we just accept the reality that we were given.
When Truman gets all these clues that his world is fake, that's when his idea of what reality is changes. Everything is considered to be true until Truman builds up the courage to oppose it, and that's when he learns the real truth.
And the real truth is that this movie is one that will be watched and talked about for the rest of eternity.
