Review of The Truman Show (1998) by The3Academysins — 12 Nov 2018
There really isn't a movie quite like The Truman Show. Funny, thought-provoking, heartwarming, a commentary on consumerism and society, charming, and deep are just some of the phrases I would use to describe this one-of-a-kind movie.
Easily one of Jim Carrey's best performances. Andrew Niccol's script and Peter Weir's direction go hand in hand. The cinematography is so subtle that you almost forget about it. The Truman Show is almost a perfect philosophical film, and one I highly recommend.
