Review of The Trouble with Harry (1955) by Ricardo V — 14 Aug 2007
Is that he's dead. I enjoyed this dark comedy more so than I thought I would and it's because of a few things, the beautiful scenary of the countryside, the small town characters who were interesting and one immensely suspenceful scene shot masterfully by hitchcock.
this was shirley maclaine's first major film and if you know me, you know I love her immensely in her early films. she's extremely beautiful and has an enery and light in her eyes and steps that pushed this film from being good to very good.
the issue of dealing with a dead body and having to constantly move it is dealt with in a really sadistic yet humorous way. I hold this film in high regard and even consider it in my top ten hitchcock list.
it's funny and well-made.
