Review of The Trouble with Harry (1955) by Jessicaann D — 23 Oct 2007
A strange film for the Hitch to make, this is a sort of comedy of errors about a dead body and the people who think they may have killed it.
The cast is likable enough, in a small town good-hearted folky kind of way, and Shirley Maclaine makes a great debut as a single mother with serious husband issues. However comedy doesn't look too good on Hitchcock and for the entirety of the movie I was waiting for something more too happen, a real twist, that never came along.
It is an interesting departure, but by no means one of his best.
