Review of The Trouble with Harry (1955) by Andrew I — 26 Mar 2010
Surprisingly poor outing for The Master, the trouble with...The Trouble With Harry is just that it's not half as clever or funny as it thinks it is. Shirley MacLaine is always watchable but even she can't make this far-fetched, silly little story work.
It's like a play badly translated to film and only worth a watch for MacLaine, Bernard Herrmann's score and the decent enough cinematography.
