Review of The Trouble with Harry (1955) by Callum R — 06 Aug 2008
It's great to see something a bit different from Hitchcock the master of suspense. What we have here is essentially a very black comedy in which several people stumble across a man named Harry. The problem is that Harry's dead. Each of the characters thinks they are responsible for his death. A Captain thinks he shot Harry so hides him, but not before he is painted by an artist, trippped over by a book worm etc. Then a woman admits to hitting him over the head with a milk bottle, and another woman says she hit him with her hiking shoe. It's all very silly, but is an entertaining feature that is so light hearted with Harry being buried and dug up 4 times in one day you cannot help but smile. Great watch, and something entirely different.
7.2/10.
