Review of The Trouble with Harry (1955) by Gina B — 25 Jul 2008
A brilliant black comedy in which Hitchcock shows us how absurd and laughable death really is. In Hitchcock's world, an inconvenient corpse should motivate nothing more than some snarky gallows humor, a compelling love story and many excursions into the gorgeous landscape of New England.
Forsythe, MacLaine, Gwenn and Natwick turn in the drollest performances of their careers and have rarely been better than they are here.
