Review of The Trouble with Harry (1955) by Monsieur R — 16 Aug 2010
Alfred Hitchcock was known for suspense thrillers with high octane drama in between- a dark comedy that today the Coen Brothers would have made. A dead body is found by Jerry Mathers (aka Beaver Cleaver) and Edmund Gwenn (Kris Kringle in "Miracle On 34th Street") separately.
Suddenly the question is who killed him. John Forsythe( Charlie from "Charlie's Angels) is an artist who helps those who thought have killed him cover it up, then cover it up, then cover it up.
Hilarity ensues. Also, this is Shirley MacLaine's film debut as the widow who wanted him dead. See it, enjoy it, and laugh at the dark humor of it!
