Review of The Trotsky (2010) by Lisa D — 24 Mar 2011
Unless you are a teenage socialist the demographic was totally missed by this movie. It is smart, it is witty and also quirky at the same time, but not many 17 year olds go around thinking they are the reincarnation of Leon Trotsky.
Jay Baruchel plays the same character that he always plays, charming in a geeky bumbling sort of way. Hard to believe that he can still pull off playing kid roles when he is almost 29 years old. This movie is a thinking persons comedy.
It is not the Social Network so don't get excited. This movie receives my,"It's worth a look",rating. But remember it is a comedy with a subtle message.
