Review of The Tripper (2006) by Jon N Ash M — 01 Nov 2007
Usually I love tacky horror movies but in this case I ahve to ask what was David Arquette thinking? This movie was possibly one of the worst things I've ever seen. I couldn't tell if the film was seriously trying to be a horror or if David was just poking fun at the whole genre, so either way it failed! There were moments when the storyline seemed to deal with some pretty important stuff and then there were moment of complete unbelievability when you just think 'Am I suppose to believe this shit?' eg when the guy gets his arm cut off. I'm sure his first reaction would have been to scream, throw up, pass out etc not say 'What the hell is your problme man?'.
All in all I believe any fool with a camera and a slight knowledge of how the horror genre works could have pulled this rubbish off, in fact my flat mates and I are considering making our own, better horror film!
It gets two stars for the laughter it created in being so bad.
