Review of The Tripper (2006) by Rena J — 21 Jul 2008
I really, really wanted to adore this movie but I had a difficult time doing so. A bizarre but completely original (not to mention funny) idea about a Ronald Reagan fanatic killing hippies. It was just lacking in every department.
It wasn't funny enough as could have been and it wasn't gory enough as it should have been. The killer gets little screen time and the story seems to focus more on other threats (maniac ex-boyfiend, a "bad trip", crazy local hillbillies, etc.
) David Arquette should stick to acting. However, this film is yet further proof that Tom Jane is the most badass actor who ever walked the face of the earth.
