Review of The Tripper (2006) by Masorad ( — 29 Aug 2008
Kudos to David and Courtney Cox for parlaying their (albeit slight) Hollywood clout for getting this thing off the ground. The embodiment of the 80s slasher behind a Reagan mask is a fun conceit, and long overdue.
Unfortunately the film settles on rather pedestrian horror denouements while attempting to wow with filmic drug aping. Fun, but flaccid and rings hollow. Still, like seeing Pee-Wee Herman cut in half.
