Review of The Tripper (2006) by Sarah H — 29 May 2009
This movie wasn`t what I was expecting. I thought it would be another shitty modern day movie like so many others but I was wrong. David Arquette sure knows what he`s doing when it comes to horror. Probably because he`s worked with Wes Craven.
The plot isn`t anything that special when you think about it but when you watch the movie it;s all put together well. The killer in this movie is really creative too. I think that it could have used a little more gore in it but the amount given was pretty decent. Some of the deaths were cool like the chainsaw to the chin and Paul Reubens` death at the end of the movie.
The chracters don`t really grow on you except for Thomas Jane`s character. The acting is pretty good though for a horror movie. The Tripper is a good movie to watch for a laugh but has a good payoff in gore and violence.
I didn`t know there were any modern day hippies but whatever. This movie is highly reccommended for fans of horror comedies like Scream. It`s quite well done.
Most Messed Up Part of the movie: The Naked Hippy Dude.
