Review of The Triplets of Belleville (2003) by Grant B — 29 Apr 2008
If you thought Animation was all about Disney then prepare to think again.
Along with the Arrdman Features this film is a total triumph and contains the most off the wall persons you will ever see.
When her Grandson is kidnapped by the French Mafia.Madame Souza and his Faithful dog Bruno set out to find him.
Sounds staightforward ,But thanks to director Syvain Chomets eye for the absurd it becomes a wondefully funny and moving film.
Higlights include 2cv Strech Limos,The Pedalo Ride across the ocean and Meeting the famous triplets and ther Bizzare eating habits.
Most of all Bruno the dog who steals the whole film ,whether he is barking at Trains or coming in Handy as a spare tyre he never fails to amuse.
Also the soundtrack to this film is great and the running time means the film never drags.
Dont be put off by the fact the film is French ,the lack of Dialouge allows the visual style of the film to grow.
