Review of The Triplets of Belleville (2003) by Adam P — 17 May 2009
A largely silent, typically French, beautifully quirky little film. A simple story..an old woman in search of her kidnapped grandson, with many bizarre characters, including a hugely overweight dog, the singing Triplettes, not to mention the French Mafia. There is so much going on in this film that I couldnâ??t take my eyes off it, and frequently laughed out loud.
Blast fishing frogs, Pedalos, Josephine Baker and Fred Astaire being eaten by his own shoes, who could ask for more?
