Review of The Triplets of Belleville (2003) by Wes A — 08 Sep 2009
In my days, I don't think I've seen a movie quite as strange/bizarre/absurd/however you want to attempt to describe it. Words can't really describe how it is. The animation has an amazing sense of style and is incredible to look at.
The plotline, is, well, probably the strangest I've ever come across in my life. The ridiculousness of this movie really is what gives it its title. From the crazy 1930s Disney style opening, to the "fishing" for frogs, to the insane car chase finale, this movie brings animation to a new level, constantly risking absurdity.
