Review of The Triplets of Belleville (2003) by Nathan S — 24 Feb 2011
As bizarre as it is beautiful Belleville Rendez-Vous is one of my favorite animations I have seen in years. One of the best things about this film is it's lack of dialogue, just the odd grunt here and there, despite this the film finds no trouble in connecting you with the characters and whisking you along with the story.
Some of the musical scenes where they use random objects for instruments are really quite entertaining and there are plenty of laughs as well. As a dog owner the brilliant portrayal of a loyal and daft little mutt really rounded off a great film.
