Review of The Triplets of Belleville (2003) by Jason M — 09 May 2011
One of my favorite animated films. The character designs alone are gorgeous, absurd, and hilarious at the same time. It's chock full of whimsy and bizarre situations. The lack of dialogue makes the visual language of the film that much more special and gives it a timeless Chaplin-esque quality.
The icing on the cake is the strange music that flows through the film and makes it's world all the more lovable and surreal.
