Review of The Trip to Italy (2014) by Callum H — 15 Dec 2014
The Trip to Italy is a sweet and docile picture, bolstered by its two main performances (why seem less so performances and more like formed by the stars which inhabit them). Whilst it is perhaps slightly bloated and containing portions of uninteresting material, what it does well it does so with finesse and elegance; beautiful cinematography conveying the grace and beauty of the Italian countryside and cityscapes, as well as providing numerous laughs all throughout, some which are utterly sensational.
A sweet little film which doesn't leave much of an impression, but does provide a little smile for the viewer.
