Review of The Trip (2011) by Gavin P — 29 Jun 2011
Enjoyable. It's essentially Steve & Rob playing exgarrated versions of themselves on a roadtrip, with the restaurant reviews & northern England acting as backdrops. Rob's brilliant (watch 'Gavin & Stacey' if you haven't seen it) and the hilarious bits are based arund them trying to out do each other with impressions - the best of which are Woody Allen, Sean Connery and Michael Caine.
It's about 15-20min too long and gets a little bogged down at the end, but it does a good job of making England look appealing at the start of winter and showcasing this unique friendship.
