This is about so much more than English food and countryside, although those are a good part of the story. The Trip is full of British references, but this didn't make the story or themes incomprehensible.
In fact, it added to the journey and I now plan to revisit William Wordsworth's "Lines Composed Upon Tintern Abbey.".
