Review of The Trip (2011) by Mloy X — 11 Dec 2011
At first it seems like your typical self-loathing, dark comedy but by the end it just turns out to be a wee bit of a warm and fuzzy buddy film, with a smidge of bleak and depressing moments sprinkled with a buffet of amazing culinary footage that will have anyone with a pallette (or a pulse) mouth watering.
The drive through the lush English country side was awe-inspiring (I think I may have picked up a few of the locations used in films like "Tamara Drewe" and "Harry Potter"......too cool) and the scene with Coogan and Brydon's dueling Bond impression was too just hilarious and the conversation in the car about get up at "nine-ish" was absolutely hysterical.
Overall, it was a good flix to check out.
