Brilliantly funny film, but not in the slapstick, physical sense. The humor is a bit more dry, and impressions abound freely here. Both Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon rule this film as they play caricatures of themselves.
If it's not obvious, much of The Trip is improvised as the pair travel the English countryside to try out the local cuisine. Fans of the pair will flock to this, and anyone interested to see either (or both) men in their element, this is worth seeking out.
