Review of The Trip (2011) by David M — 01 Feb 2012
A funny and yet sort of sad at the heart, deft comedy with a simple premise. Worth watching for trademark Brit oneupsman ship, and the impressions. The rapport is natural between coogan(who always plays an asshole as himself, which makes you wonder) and Rob bryson.
Coogan is given a little arch beneath his artistic self loathing. Idk what arthouse movie he had ever been in.
