Review of The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989) by Ryan K — 24 Mar 2010
This is a made for television movie of the old classic Hulk series. This time Banner turns into the Hulk to save someone. But then is accused as the attacker and is sent to trial. Banner meets another Marvel universe character in Matt Murdock aka Daredevil.
Murdock job is Banner's lawyer to set him free. Plus there is a storyline thrown in with the Kingpin. The Kingpin was played by John Rhys-Davies. I think he is a great actor but he seemed to be a odd choice to play Wilson Fisk.
Bill Bixby is great still as Banner and Lou Ferrigno still looks the same as the Hulk as he did in the 70's. You can tell this movie does not have a big budget due to the action scenes plus for the time it was made.
But I still like watching this since I was a fan of the show as a kid and a fan of the Hulk. But the Daredevil costume in this is laughable. They did not do that character justice. Still the actor who played Murdock was solid in his role.
Check this out if your a fan of the Marvel comics Hulk or liked the original series with Bill Bixby.
