Review of The Trench (1999) by Jim F — 14 Feb 2014
First of all not a film snob, second I DESPISE the fact I have to log in on facebollocks to even register an opinion.. Feck Facebollocks.
I do like the casting and the photography of the film, giving the (Ugggh) reality type feel as it tracks an intimate and developed character leaden cast through to the inevitable climax (hey people watched titanic and were surprised at the ending go figure).
I found the cinematography and the characterisation very good, and overall a very emotive and enthralling look back at a type of warfare and indeed a war that too many forget.
Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori.
