Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Kilian Z — 10 Aug 2012

I'm sorry but I did not appreciate this movie. Picture are beautiful that's a fact, but the pain it was for me to watch began already at the introduction ... the esoteric thematic used by Malick is absolutely not done for me.

Moreover the movie evolve so slowly ... it is not a need of action but since the beginning I understood the point & theme. As it was said by a Friend "you have to be ready to let yourself go" .

.. I answered: "hmm like a hypnosis session ? It did not work on me". I sort this kind of movie as a conceptual movie like the Fountain. I got the same feeling that's the movie is boring but probably because I missed something.

I will give its luck in few years.
