Stanley Kubrick called. He wants his random unexplained scenes back.

This is apparently one of those very divisive movies that some people like and some people don't. It is about a kid who wants to kill his dad and bone his mom. There are some nice 1960s costumes. And, as is to be expected in a movie about family drama in the 1960s, dinosaurs. It is approximately eleven thousand hours long. Sometimes I would get into it and care about the characters for a while, but then they would start talking to themselves in unnecessarily flowery language ("Father... Mother... always you wrestle inside me. Always you will.") or I would remember that it had scenes about dinosaurs and the origins of the universe just for the sake of being artsy-fartsy and that would annoy me enough that I stopped caring again.

As far as I can guess, the meaning of the film is: The period of time in which life has existed is short, and your individual time on Earth is even shorter, so don't waste your time being mad about people dying or not being the parents you wanted. Also, something about Grace vs. Nature that I did not remotely understand.
