I don't know if I'll ever be in a position to give "The Tree of Life" the review it deserves, as it remains one of the most profound experiences I've ever had from a film. Just know that "The Tree of Life" is not for everyone; if films like "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Synecdoche, New York" were not for you, avoid it like the plague.

If you're a little more open, "The Tree of Life" is a hallmark of ambitious filmmaking, rich in every frame with adult drama and collegiate philosophical ponderings. I would not presume to detail how much of an affect writer/director Terrence Malick's magnum opus gave me; to me it is the greatest film of the 21st century I've yet seen.
